Synopsis
Seventy thousand years ago, Ellandra Ashar died in the fires of Ka Loren and rose again as one of the immortal Queens of the Haillar Dominion. Now she stands watch on Aldeea, a cold frontier world on the edge of a war humanity has never heard of. Beyond the Wall, an ancient enemy known only as the Scourge presses endlessly against the Dominion’s outer realms, corrupting worlds faster than fleets can reclaim them. Far across the void, the human exploration vessel Endeavour arrives in the Kepler system, believing they may have discovered humanity’s future. What begins as a scientific survey becomes something far stranger when the crew realises the habitable world below is neither empty nor primitive. Its people have cities. History. Power. And they have been watching the stars for a very long time. PHOENIX: Beneath the Wall is a story about first contact, memory, immortality, and the weight of civilizations that have survived unchanged for too long.
